What does the Anthropologie-loving, Chicago-hailing bride to be do when she finds a ranch and a barn so perfectly set amongst a backdrop of white birch trees? She plans a wicked party with her best friend and invites everyone to come, of course! Jessy and Erik aren’t the traditional kind of couple, so they came to me searching for a few non-traditional ideas to compliment all the hard work already put into planning their big day. Coffee bean favors from the quaint coffee shop they first met in, local handmade pies for dessert in lieu of a cake and a surprise coral and gold ampersand piñata made this wedding one for the books. And who could resist those adorable, mismatched bridesmaid’s dresses in the most perfect shade of coral? Photography by Michael IV Photography. Flowers by Marla Courtney Wood.
