There's something magical about a flawlessly executed event, one brimming with charisma and a distinct sense of personality. My mission as an event designer and wedding director is to redefine the planning process for my clients so that those magical moments may be created, captured and cherished for a lifetime. From event management, design, organic floristry, and full service execution, the Hey Gorgeous brand epitomizes the boutique business approach. We service clients looking for a truly unparalleled and innovative experience.

As the principle planner and lead designer behind every single Hey Gorgeous event since 2010, I ensure each couple is given the time and love they deserve every step along the way. Weddings are most certainly about many details but they more importantly are also about people.

Personally, I find joy in simple pleasures. The first peony cut of the season, the last sliver of springtime sunlight at the end of the day, and a successfully executed surprise rank high on my list of loves. I'm passionate about innovative design, clutter-free spaces and quality time with my loved ones. My husband, Andrew is my biggest encourager and best friend. Together we cherish time together as a family with our sweet son, Lachlan Rue. I dream of my own brick and mortar floral shop, and striving to always make those around me feel loved.

Oh, and I've never said no to a piece of wedding cake. Chocolate is my favorite.

Betsi

For the past four wedding seasons Betsi has been an integral part of the HGE team. Her role includes designing our signature ethereal floral creations, effortlessly executing wedding timelines and assisting with the all-important behind the scenes logistics. With more than a decade of floral experience and a heart for passionately serving others, she's essential in the Hey Gorgeous experience. Betsi is the sassy yet incredibly warm hearted and nurturing member of our team that makes every event truly shine and every guest feel taken care of. She lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan with her family of five, and loves fresh coffee, spontaneous dance parties, and summers at the lake. She's a hardworking, incredibly generous, and charismatic necessity at any HGE event.

JessICA

Jessica joined the HGE team in 2013 and has proved to be an indispensable part of our operations. From handling the execution of our floral elements like overhead installations and large scale arrangements, seamlessly bridging together hundreds of behind the scenes details, and serving as assistant wedding director on the day of, Jess is always a step ahead, ready to anticipate anything and everything. With more than 13 years of floral experience and a passion for loving on others, she is the epitome of what we stand for at Hey Gorgeous. Jess lives with her boyfriend in Bath, Michigan and loves her sweet American bulldog, Parker, copious amounts of Mountain Dew and the beautiful distinct change of seasons in the Midwest. She's a selfless, incredibly genuine, and cheerful staple at any HGE event. 

ANDREW

Our team wouldn't be complete without Andrew. From making sure there's ample food and refreshments for the team during event set ups, managing schedules and truck deliveries, running miscellaneous errands, and handling vendor relations, Andrew has been a key part of our company since we began in 2009. His analytical skills help solve the toughest of problems while his patient and calm demeanor allows him to bring harmony to the buzz of a wedding day. He finds great joy working alongside his wife, Rhiannon and helping to make other couple's wedding celebrations memorable. He also loves spending time on the golf course in the warm Michigan summer months, a good Mexican restaurant but most of all, spending quality time with his wife, their son, Lachlan and dog, Zoe.
